From April 1949 to July 1951, Phil Belbin drew "Flash" Cain for KG Murray's digest size Cavalcade magazine. Many of these strips were scripted by Ray Heath. Phil Belbin (1925-1993) joined KG Murray in 1947, providing a range of illustrations and cartoons for Cavalcade, which began as The Insider in 1939, Murray's attempt at a serious news magazine along the lines of Time. Issues 21 (1952) to 115 (1959)
Numbering for the UK version of Batman was the same as in Australia (unlike Superman). In early 1952, Batman began to be printed in the UK (by Morrison and Gibb, Edinburgh) for UK distribution (with a 6d cover price). Printing was again done in Australia when the full colour format was introduced in 1956, with separate covers printed for UK distribution. The key distinguishing difference is the 6d cover price.
Issues of Batman (1950: 5-115) prior to 21 were printed in a single version onlyBatman (21-115)
